The most frequently used products for this type of work are the aluminum phosphide, magnesium phosphide and gasified phosphine.  

It is used to control pests in sea containers because it desintegrates naturally quickly. This means that, after a short time, traces of phosphine are no longer found in the fumigated products because the blisters contain the residues.
